Average Joes are a Hilo-based pop rock top 40 cover band formed in 2016. “The Big Island’s only interactive music experience” play regularly in Hilo and Kona. Their live shows have been described as “a circus of fun” because of their diverse and current song catalog and frequent audience participation.
The Average Joes released their first album of original music in 2020, and are currently finishing up their fourth album Drop the D. They’ve received three Na Hoku Hanohano finalist slots for their original work, which showcases their hard rock/heavy metal roots rather than the pop/top 40 covers usually seen at their live shows.
